Ah, Helloween. Your Penumbra: Overture Let's Play series got me to play Penumbra.
Sadly, because I had watched you play it I pretty much knew what was going to happen and didn't experience the full horror.......
...
But still, without you I probably wouldn't still know anything about Penumbra. :v
Also thanks to Frictional Games for the Penumbra series and the soon coming Amnesia: The Dark Descent. The teaser video really made me want to play Amnesia.
Expect my pre-order... When I have money for it. :p
Shouldn't take too long, it's just $16.....

same problem i watched all of overtorture and one fourth of black plague in one day cause of the awesome ness and had to force myself to stop cause i wanted to play the games.

Kind of suprised to see a post from you here, Helloween. Your Penumbra Let's Play was the first one I saw. I had just finished the game and was in the mood to see someone else struggle with the puzzles.
Edit: I also helped spread the word on the Taleworlds forum where I know there are quite a few Penumbra fans. Unfortunately it hasn't got a lot of attention.

I emailed Yahtzee to suggest that he plays Penumbra. If he does a review of the series, even capitalizing on the hard combat of the first game, a lot of people watch his reviews and will know of the game. I'm also very certain he'll actually like it.
Getting more people to know of Penumbra will inevitably get them to learn of Amnesia.

The thread on Bethesda's forum is finally getting some attention. Bethesda's board is huge, so that is good news. People have even been persuaded to try out the Penumbras.
@Lee: I'm not so sure he would like it, actually. He seems very much like a gameplay man.

Amnesia is going to be amazing, possibly even better than Penumbra. I've put a big Amnesia banner and link to the official site in my forum signatures on various websites I visit. I really hope the game sells well because Frictional absolutely deserves it. Their games are masterpieces.

Yahtzee is one of the most sane reviewers ever. I would say the Anti-Social FatMan is but he liked Dead Space and FEAR.
