There are nice puzzles and good directions leading you on the right path but not telling you exactly what to do (However I didn't like the fact that you are told what to do in the "Silence disgusts me" room).
This is one of the best custom stories ever so far (if not the best).
Don't get me wrong, Im not trying to bash this custom story or anything, but in my opinin a plot that is based on that you are having a nightmare (and nothing else on the plot really) is NOT good. There isnt't anything I consider puzzle, just finding items and using them on something obvious. Also the jumping part in one of the portals is ridiculous.
And to say something more helpful in the end, you really should try to develop some tension and scariness to the future custom stories.

swumppih, sorry you didn't enjoy it, but I have absolutely no idea where your criticisms are coming from. There were definitely puzzles to figure out, and yes, it was a pretty basic storyline, but it worked.
Anyway, I definitely enjoyed it. I haven't played many custom stories, but this was a satisfying one. I was just a bit frustrated about having to twice go back to the hall of doors after figuring out I needed something else from there. A redesign might have the exit in one of the last doors, such that the player will come across the useful items in the rooms beforehand.

I tried to play through your story, but there's a pretty glaring flaw that stops progress. I didn't realize it until I gave up trying to progress to watch your walkthrough.
In the silent hall, if you collect the orb piece first (like I did), you're warped out and the way back is sealed. The bottle and the hammer are lost, and you cannot pass the other two locations.
I would have suggested putting the bottle elsewhere, and making the hammer a part of the puzzle necessary to find the fragment.

I decided to give it a try and did a Let's Play of it (You mind if I post it one day on youtube?), and had my share of scares! Great job!
I really liked the voice acting in that one! One a down note, I had a couple of glitches here and there that actually killed me, or had me start the game all over again. '.'
