Jesus you have a good eye. I did just complete that area fairly recently. Everyone has visual glitches before a finished product. Chillax broski.

I probably have a different method of production than you as well. I do a giant layout, build, move on, build. Refining comes last.

After watching your video I gotta say: Are you serious? You got so many clipping errors and you can see through walls. Look at 0:17 (wall to the right), 0:18 (wall to the left), 0:19-0:23 (long black line at wall), 0:27+ (awful ground texture tiling), 0:33 (shelfs and books to the right just copy & pasted), 0:55 railing not connected to stairs, ground tiles again).

I hope you were really being sarcastic when you talked about high quality. Might be different than other stories regarding some elements yes, but aesthetics?

Also, the lighting is horrible.

Really some top-notch specific criticism guys.
What is horrible?

Added a small demo.

You should try optimizing your maps. I am nearly always at 10 FPS with settings that worked fine (30-60 FPS) in the original story.

I've played nearly every map released so far, and I must say... that this is the worst of them all.

The level design is so poor, it's not even funny.
And I'm not talking about the actual layout of rooms, but the way that nothing fits together.

There's holes all over the place, flat walls, missing walls, interlacing, etc.

I know you've said you're going to refine later... But the amount of refining needed is wall-blasting.

It would probably be a lot easier to scrap the whole thing and start over.

If I ignore the uncountable number of flaws in the level itself, and talk about the gameplay and give suggestions:
Spoiler below!
It took me forever to find the key.

You might want to hide it somewhere else. I had to do a search in the level editor.

I don't think a lot of people know that some carpets can be dragged, and even though I did, my mind just perceived the carpet as decoration. Frankly, I didn't even see the carpet at a conscious level.

Or simply make it clearer somehow.

Well then, looks like I'll stop making this. Thanks for saving me some time.

DamnNoHtml dont let the "feedback" here put you back. I haven't tried the demo yet but what if people say here is true then maybe you should work a bit stronger on the 'clean up' process before putting it up.

Looking forward to see your next project.

Nah there is no point on continuing. It would be different if I knew I was making crap, but I genuinely thought I had something unique going on. Oh well, guess not.

I don't have a particularly good idea for detail, I'll admit, so I may have missed things, but from what I could tell, what you had looked quite interesting to me.
