Missing Hammer in Prison. - SPOOK0999 - 11-23-2010

Hello,

I have gotten to the Prison level and the Hammer that is supposed to be under the bed is not there! I looked up a walkthrough to figure out where it is and it is just not there. I have tried loading a different save and everything and it's always not there.

Anyone know why this would happen?

Re-install the game or verify the cache (if on Steam), sounds like a file or files for the hammer is missing.

I reinstalled the game and replayed the entire game up until that point. And the hammer was still not there. I really don't get it.

Is there anything else I can try?

Load the level and post the hpl.log file that you find in My Documents/Amnesia/

Is it possible he's just looking for it in the wrong place? Though I guess at this point he would have looked at a few videos online.

It's definitely supposed to be under the bed. That is where everyone finds it. There is not two separate locations it could be located.

I only asked because the prison does have quite a few cells, and I'm pretty sure more than one has a bed in it; it's hard to know exactly which one you've been checking.
Or is this the room that Daniel gets a flashback in, talking to a mother who has just helped her daughter escape?

It's the one with the door that has been broken off and is leaning against the wall in front of it. When you first start the level you will walk through the halls and come up to a stairway and a path to the right. It is in the hall to the right.

If you are talking about the room with the hammer that is incorrect, you do not go up the stairs to get to the hammer!

The log did not show anything wrong either. So have no idea what to suggest other than being rude and saying you are looking for it in the wrong place Smile
