Unfortunately, I don't know what it could be in Greece, there is a German word meaning exactly that, "Kabinett", which made this easy. It's just a special word for a connection of rooms or passages I guess. For example "hall of mirrors" becomes "Spiegelkabinett" in German (Spiegel=mirror).

In greek cabinet could be mistaken for the word "Καμπίνα" (Kabina) which is actually one of the small rooms at large ships where you can rest. You said a connection of rooms or passages....mmmm, so it must be this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabinet_%28room%29

Now, the greek word....the greek language is large and rich. I'm sure there are at least 2 words for something like this. Found it: "Αίθουσα" which means room(also used at school classes) but it fits here.

Great, thank you very much for the clarifications as far as the word cabinet is concerned. Did you also translate the pre-menu? I had some problems there but it's not an important part.

You mean "good of you to come" and everything? If so, yes, that worked fine.

arg, not for me but it doesn't matter - they are not important. I also left the small poem justin says at the end unattached because I think it is better they way it is written.

Some Texts are used across the TDD lang file (not Justine).
If you wanted to translate all Texts and fonts, you have to translate the main game too.

yes I know and I you can see that in-game. It says:

Picked up Σπασμένη σκάλα (Picked up Broken Ladder)

but I won't translate Amnesia TDD for this. It's way too much...

It took 4 days for me to translate whole game to Turkish.

it took me 2 hours for Justine without the diaries. It should take another 2 hours tops for these. Maybe I will translate the main game too but in the summer. Although I don't think it is worth it. I don't think anyone will even download the small greek translation for justine - that's why.

RE: Justine DLC Full Greek Text Translation - WIP (70%) - Tanshaydar - 05-21-2011

Send it to a Greek gaming site and this way people will know both about Amnesia and your translation. I got over 7000 download just from my personal website.
Though, I don't think even half of them have bought the game.

Justine uses the word "Cabinet" as a place where people can experience something exciting and discover things they didn't know. Have a look at this wikipedia link if you want to get an idea why she uses that word: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabinet_of_curiosities

If the story had taken place today she would probably had said something like "carnival ride of discovery" instead of "cabinet of perturbation", or maybe "psychological obstacle course". It is definitely a difficult word to translate and I would suggest you just try to think of something that seems appropriate and sounds cool. Wink

Good luck with the translation.
