Pathnodes

So I've noticed that the monsters fail to follow the pathnodes when chasing the player.
I am fairly sure I need some kind of extra file for the monsters to know where to, instead of just running at walls. I've tried to increase the amount of pathnodes significantly, which helped only a little bit, but not enough.

Yeah, the problem is I don't know how to make this file (.nodes?) Anyone have
yet experimented with this thing?

RE: Pathnodes

.nodes is an auto generated file. I believe that the setting forcecacheloadingandskipsaving controls whether or not files like this one are generated, but I dont remember if it had to be true or false.

RE: Pathnodes

Have you added the path nodes to the monster in the script?

PHP Code: (Select All)
AddEnemyPatrolNode(stringasNamestringasNodeNamefloat afWaitTimestringasAnimation);

You don't need to add all, but I recommend adding 1 for every turn so it won't get stuck on corners.

Moving to Development, but glad to hear you got it solved Smile

When in doubt after map changes, always delete the map_cache file. Wink

RE: Pathnodes

Wait. When chasing the player it's another story. They ignore pathnodes and go straight to the player's position. I know when they're stuck trying to hit you, they go back a little trying to find another way to reach you but it lasts 3~4 seconds and tries to attack again. It's not the same when they're tamed and wander the place. That's when they follow pathnodes if you gave them.
