Solved: 8 Years, 3 Months ago Jumping to desktop issue

I seem to have a very annoying issue that only seems to affect Amnesia and has been going on for quite some time. It even led to to restoring my computer to factory default, reinstalling, and trying the game then. Still no fix.

Every 15-20 my game "flashes" or "jumps" to the desktop. Basically you are able to quickly see your desktop for about 1-2 seconds, and then you're back in the game. It can really ruin the feel of a scary moment or get you killed when running from a creature.

I have a nvidia graphics card, newest drivers, newest Bios. I've tried lowering the graphics of amnesia, still a no go. Any ideas? Help would be MUCH appreciated.

I forgot to add, I am running on Windows 7 with all the newest updates.
