Solved: 8 Years, 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago No Video, but subtitles

I am running Windows 7 on my Asus K52F; when I run Amnesia: The Dark Descent, I am able to see the main menu and make selections. When I try to begin a new game, I see the loading screen. After it loads, I have audio and I can see the subtitles along the bottom of the screen, when Daniel is talking to himself. The problem is: I have no video at all. I know that he is supposed to be stumbling through a castle corridor, but I cannot see that. After he finishes talking to himself and I gain control, I can see the current objective at the top of the screen as well as the journal if I open it. I can hear the water running, and I can walk and run, but I can't tell where I'm going.
Does anyone have a possible solution (or reason) for this happening?
