Hello,

I recently downloaded the Amnesia Demo off of Steam. While in game, I noticed a strange graphics bug going on: While looking around, this happens. The first 10 seconds show it best. Basically, while looking around, the screen will distort and boxes appear around the screen. This only occurs while in fullscreen, windowed mode is fine. I have tested it with many different resolutions and settings, but no luck. All of my drivers are up to date.

My specs are as follows: (Now I know this is a DINO of a PC, but it passes all of the requirements for Amnesia and runs it well, besides this glitch)

Nvidia Geforce 6200
Pentium 4 3.20 ghz
2 gigs of RAM
Windows XP 32 bit

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Thank you for the reply. I had already installed this, but I went ahead and reinstalled. The problem still occurs, and although it's somewhat better than it was before, it's still pretty noticeable. If there is anything else I can do to eliminate this bug, it would be great.

Well it is an old computer and an old card so maybe the lag is because of the current hardware. Download the small program attached below, run it and tell me what OpenGL version it detects.

Yes, it is definitely an old system, I'm going to upgrade soon. I'm stuck with this for the moment. Anyway, here is what DoctorGL said:

Video Card Vendor: NVIDIA Corporation
Renderer: GeForce 6200/PCI/SSE2
OpenGL Version: 2.1.2
GLU Version: 1.2.2.0 Microsoft Corporation

well you can barely play the game. Your card supports OpenGL 2.1.2 when the game requires at least 2.1 but because the card is old it cannot play the game normally. I say wait until you upgrade and then play the game as you should. Remember to buy a nvidia card preferably. AMD has sometimes some problems.

Alright. Thank you for your help, it's appreciated.

EDIT: I fixed it! By enabling Vsync, the problem went away. I really should have thought of that before, but I usually try to stay away from Vsync since it kills my FPS. Luckily, I stay around 20 FPS with it on. Thanks for your help anyway.
