RE: Welder Help

Worked. I guess it was because I had amnesia running in the background in windowed mode, and it just freaked out about it. Strange though, because the top view worked for other map files, just not that specific one... O_o

RE: Welder Help

Bizarre indeed. There have been days that my computer refuses to run more than one HPL at a time (crashing the others when I try to start them) but on other days I can have the game, the level editor, the model editor, Blender, and a half dozen other files and programs (i.e. this browser) open at once and it never so much as hiccups. Until now I'd chalked it up to one of the quirks of having a custom-built rig. Maybe it's just the program, though.

EDIT: Ahh I just placed a convex welder, and I see the texture misalignment you're talking about. That's a shame Sad

You shouldn't need to use multiple convex welders. They will cover a 270 degree wall corner, if that makes sense. Can you upload a screenshot of how you're using them?

You can try re-texturing and using the white welder I suppose :S

RE: Welder Help

Meh, the solution I'm currently using works well enough. it's a little un-proportional, but then again I'm working within the limits of the editor, it doesn't really have to be perfect to be good. The rope in the game ghosts through itself when it overlaps, so I think the player can accept a little offness. Besides it's dark and foggy and if I set my environment right the player will be too scared/paranoid to even notice. Big Grin
