delonemonkey:
Also make sure to update drivers and so on. Since the system reports a non-working card to the game I am afraid there is not much I can do Sad

Make sure that you have followed all instructions in the trouble shooting guide. If you have no integrated card, then it looks more like a driver issue.

RE: Exception access violation - delonemonkey - 10-06-2010

i think there is one driver update i cant get because i have to pay for it, but i will continue to look around. I dont understand why the game isnt picking up my graphics card..

RE: Exception access violation - Luis - 10-06-2010

You should be able to get any drivers you need without having to pay for them. Where are you looking for these?

RE: Exception access violation - delonemonkey - 10-06-2010

well i downloaded the most recent drivers for my card from the ATI website, but when i use those driver detective programs, they tell me there are more up to date versions but they want me to pay, and i cant find those versions elsewhere. I am not sure if they are just trying to get me to buy something or not, i am not paying anyway. Do i perhaps need drivers for my onboard graphics card? I cant find any trace of it or a place to shut it off, but for some reason that is what the game is using. GDI generic.

RE: Exception access violation - Luis - 10-07-2010

Don't worry about that. That is obviously a bait to lure people into buying.

If you actually have an integrated card, you should have options for it on the BIOS setup menu. Check there if you haven't already done so.
As for the drivers, I have tested the game on an integrated Radeon HD 4200 card, so it should definitely work for you. Did you make sure to properly uninstall the old drivers?

RE: Exception access violation - delonemonkey - 10-08-2010

Ive looked in my BIOS, cant see anything about an on-board or integrated card. Doesnt show up in device manager either.

I already uninstalled my old drivers, and replaced them, but maybe i did something wrong, ill try it again. This is really puzzling and frustrating me.

Hiya, I'm using a Dell Inspiron 6400 with intel 945GM express driver set and ofcourse being a laptop it's all intergrated and shizz. I've looked for the latest drivers from dell and they date back to 2007 cos they are lazy b's, and Intel's drivers are dated 2008. What can I do? Hbl.log attached

Steam purchased ofcourse

RE: Exception access violation - The Trumpet - 12-11-2010
