Probably the post that made me register, though I likely would have at some point, if not now.

Hiya! I have been lurking around in this here topic for some time. Why not just make an account and jump in, Diz thought.

I am really looking forward to Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs. The current game might just be the scariest experience I have ever had in general so far. I was sucked into the game and everything felt so real. At many points in the game, I really could not differ whether I was playing a game or actually having a nightmare. The story is also deep and intense, and it fits perfectly into the game with such terrifying gameplay, with music and ambience that plays with emotion along with visuals and anticipation reaching in to my very soul.

A Machine For Pigs is anticipated to be even scarier, both to newcomers and veterans. I cannot wait for the release, and I will livestream/record it if only just to check my reaction and fear, as I really wish I had done with the first game.

======================================

Boring hello aside, I did make something quite some time ago. I noticed something in a picture of A Machine For Pigs which was revealed at some point. Something about it seemed really eerie and familiar, so I did some comparing. I am sorry if this has been brought up before. If not, take a look at the top right part of the picture, and then compare it with the bottom right:

Spoiler below!

Do you see it? Look closely. The entire wall in this picture looks identical to one found in Brennenburg Castle's wine cellar. Even the window and its frame looks entirely the same! What is going on here? Brennenburg Castle appeared to collapse, although certain parts of the castle could have remained intact. However, the game appears to be taking place in London, while Brennenburg Castle was in Prussia, so surely this cannot be the same place. Perhaps the architect was inspired by the remains of Brennenburg Castle? Or perhaps I am just digging too far into this?

Any thoughts?

Oh they just simply used the same models as in TDD.
I guess as a placeholder or maybe they just didn't bother making new ones, maybe they thought it would fit in AAMFP aswell.
The weird thing is, that is supposed to be concept art, but it looks like some models as a screenshot combined with actual drawings.. I dunno.

I suppose that makes sense. I did see an early picture of Amnesia with a Penumbra monster in it. Still makes me wonder though!

Haha. I noticed that, too. Confusing!

I was kind of happy when they pushed the date because then the game will be that much better, I hope it comes out on steam though. :o

I think fancreeper and I have been waiting since the first blurry image popped up. -_-
The things is I had a very old PC that couldn't run Amnesia at that time so I didn't even bother to check frequently. My first play experience with Amnesia was watching the whole game on the youtube playthrough Big Grin
Wow you don't get the immersion part need do you?
I don't really get how you rather watch Pewdiefag instead of actually playing the game even if you don't have a decent pc there must be someone in your surroundings which has one.(don't forget this game can be played even on weak rigs)

Jesus Christ, I didn't watched that Pewdiefag, but some serious player that didn't said a word through whole the playthrough. It really felt like I was playing the game. My pc wasn't able to run Amnesia since it was 10 years old at that time, but now I have a new one, read my other comments.

I would avoid looking up anything on the Internet regarding A Machine For Pigs until I have had at least started playing the game, ensuring a good amnesia effect and immersion into the unknown.

... And probably be like the one in the video. =)

I'll probably wait for the weekend until it comes out (Hopefully it comes out during springbreak or easterbreak) so I can sit in my dark room and play it until I've finished it. I'm so excited Big Grin
