What Lies Beneath [Now With Screens]

Evening everyone \o

I'd like to share with you my first custom story ever (well, the first map of it at least).
The feedback will decide the fate of my HPL Editor career :3

Prologue:
"My name is Daniel Clarke, Private Eye.

I came to New Orleans to find Nathan LaLaurie, a surgeon friend of mine, after recieving an unsettling letter from his butler, Crone. I first went to 1140 Royal Street, his house.."

RE: What Lies Beneath [Now With Screens]

Just played it, seems pretty cool - I liked it.

Few things to improve though. I noticed a few flickering textures and gaps in the map here and there. But generally it was good and the level design was nice - The rooms felt used and that they had a purpose. Spaces were filled well and the atmosphere was good. I didn't like all of the scares though, some were good some weren't. It's just personal preference ofcourse but I like the scares that have more logical sense, I'd say some were a bit cheap.

Overall pretty good though! I would say keep going =)

Thank you =)
Ill look into the textures and gaps. Can you pm me what scares you didn't like? I did some of them just to test some scripts since I'm new to this.

Does the first screenshot have any performance issues in that area? It seems you have a bunch of intersecting shadowcasters.

Tried to capture the thunder effect. What I didn't realize is that it mess things up xD
