Stories are something that is very important to us humans and also a crucial part of many video games. In some games the player is the author of the story, for example in Civilization where you are given some basic start resources and are then free to decide how your story will play out. In other games the designer has the most control of the story and the game mechanics do their best to guide the payer through the narrative (which may dynamic or linear).

The Sound of Fiction record label today released a special edition of the Penumbra Soundtrack. The Penumbra series, developed by Frictional Games, has achieved cult status, and Mikko Tarmia’s essential soundscape has been consistently lauded as one of the series’ greatest achievements.

Re-release of the Penumbra Series for Mac & Linux – USD 5 launch offer!
With a brand new installer the three Penumbra games will be available as a single download starting this Friday the 17th. The new release will improve the user experience compared to the original “three downloads with three serials”-installation procedure.
