Can't run the game

Hiya!

As the topic states I cannot for the life of me get Penumbra to run. I'm not that savvy of a tech guy but I 've never really had a problem before this.
Ok, I installed the game fine and everything but when I click to run it pops up with the little "Got Game" window thingy, and then when I click play it seems like its going to run (starts to change the screen to black, etc.). However, a windows error box pops up saying it cannot launch the exe. and the only thing that seems wrong is the error signature?

My specs are: 2.8ghz HP with a gig of ram and a Radeon 9800 pro 256mb

Hmm..
Can you type out a more precise error messenge?
Does a program called 'Blackbox' come up after crashing?
Have you updated all your video card drivers?
Are you using Vista?

Most probably you need to update your video card drivers.

I am on XP, and I have not updated my video drivers so I'll check that out and get back to you. Also, the error thingy isn't really specific, just giving me the whole send to MS or don't message. However, I will see if I cannot post a screenshot of the error message or something.
