Exception access violation- mydocuments/overture problem

I guess you mean that the folder is empty, as it should be right there. It's a text file called 'hpl.log'

I tried updating the driver while i was there, nothing.
What else do you need to know?
I've got an AMD atholon. XP HOME.
I am running the cd off a DVD drive. My cd rom broke and all i have now is the dvd drive. Could that be the Access violation?

Could you download and run the following test? It will generate some OpenAL*.log files under your Documents folder, I need you to send those to me.

Ug, that DL says it has a missing component. The tester.
OK it the MSVCP&!D.dll that's missing. It won't run. Sad

LOL somethings definatley wrong. This one worked. But the first two loading sequences failed. it says

Initializing preferred device ... Failed
Loading sample ... Failed

Then it crashes.
