The free Adventure Mode update for Amnesia: Rebirth is out now! This new mode will give players the option to turn the game into less of a horror experience, where you don’t have to worry about darkness nor monsters attacking you.
It’s now been nearly 5 months since Rebirth was released and it’s high time we come to you with an update, don’t you think? But let’s start with an announcement that is even more overdue…
We’re coming to you here with some sad news. We’ve always prided ourselves with being able to supply our games on PC, Linux and Mac but we encountered some serious problems with the latest versions of MacOS.
During the first few weeks of this year we started seeing an influx of reports surrounding a new specific type of bug. It seemed text, crosshair, interaction icons and menu art started disappearing a bit randomly, while people were playing the game. We now feel confident that the problem has been solved.
In this patch we believe we’ve finally managed to identify and fix the most serious bug we’ve had left to fix – the one where some players have gotten stuck on black screen immediately after the intro.
With version 1.2 on PC we also bring you Custom Stories and modding tools!
Patch 1.1 for Amnesia: Rebirth is out now on all PC platforms. If testing goes smoothly, it will be out sometime tomorrow on PS4 as well.
This patch is mostly about bug fixes, both some linux focus, some blockers and other minor issues. The most notable change for most players will be the ability to skip memories by holding the interact button (left mouse button or right trigger if on a gamepad).
We have just released a new patch for Amnesia: Rebirth, containing a few improvements worth pointing out.
The change that will most likely have the biggest effect on the experience is the “toning down” of the “fear flashes”.
After five years of work we are finally able to announce that Amnesia: Rebirth will be released on 20th October 2020!
